Role Overview:
As a POS QA Analyst with over 10 years of experience, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and functionality of Point of Sale systems.
Your expertise will be vital in designing test strategies, executing comprehensive test plans, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
You will utilize your strong analytical skills to identify defects, enhance processes, and contribute to the overall success of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement test strategies and plans for POS applications to ensure comprehensive coverage of functional and non-functional requirements.
Conduct manual and automated testing, including regression, functional, performance, and user acceptance testing, to validate POS systems.
Identify, document, and track defects using defect management tools; work closely with development teams to facilitate timely resolution.
Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and product owners to understand requirements and provide feedback on system functionality and usability.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives by identifying areas for process optimization and recommending best practices in testing methodologies.
Create and maintain detailed test cases, test scripts, and testing documentation to ensure transparency and repeatability of testing efforts.
Requirements:
10+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on POS systems and applications.
Strong understanding of POS software architecture, including hardware and software integration.
Proficiency in test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail) and defect tracking systems.
Experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, QTP) and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java).
In-depth knowledge of testing methodologies, standards, and best practices.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
