Job Description:

As an SAP ABAP Consultant specializing in Advanced Planning and Optimization (APO), your expertise lies in customizing and enhancing SAP APO functionalities to meet business requirements. Proficiency in ABAP programming language and knowledge of SAP APO modules such as Demand Planning, Supply Network Planning, Production Planning, and Global Available-to-Promise (GATP) is essential. Your role involves collaborating with stakeholders to understand supply chain planning processes and requirements, and developing custom ABAP programs, user exits, and enhancements to optimize APO functionality. Strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication are crucial for understanding business requirements and delivering tailored solutions. Staying updated with SAP APO advancements ensures the delivery of efficient and innovative planning solutions. Providing comprehensive training and support to end-users facilitates successful adoption of SAP APO systems, optimizing supply chain planning for clients.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Requirements Gathering and Analysis:

   • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand supply chain planning processes, challenges, and business requirements.
   • Analyze existing SAP APO configurations and identify opportunities for customization and enhancement.

2. Solution Design and Customization:

   • Design and develop custom ABAP programs, user exits, and enhancements to extend and optimize SAP APO functionality.
   • Customize SAP APO modules such as Demand Planning, Supply Network Planning, Production Planning, and GATP to meet specific business needs.

3. Integration and Implementation:

   • Integrate SAP APO with other SAP modules (such as SAP ERP) and external systems to ensure seamless data exchange and end-to-end process integration.
   • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and deploy customized SAP APO solutions, ensuring alignment with project timelines and objectives.

4. Testing and Quality Assurance:

   • Conduct comprehensive testing of custom ABAP developments and SAP APO configurations to validate functionality, performance, and data integrity.
   • Identify and address issues and discrepancies, and work closely with stakeholders to implement necessary fixes and enhancements.

5. Training and Support:

   • Provide training and knowledge transfer sessions to end-users on SAP APO functionality, customizations, and best practices.
   • Offer ongoing support and troubleshooting assistance to users, addressing inquiries and resolving issues to ensure smooth operation and adoption of SAP APO systems.

Skills:
