We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to join our team and assist in processing weekly, fortnightly, 4-weekly, and monthly payrolls for our clients based in the USS (United States). The Payroll Administrator will be responsible for accurately inputting timesheets submitted by employees/workers into the payroll application, calculating tax, national insurance deductions, pension contributions, and processing statutory pay such as maternity pay, paternity pay, sick pay, and adoption pay. Additionally, they will be responsible for calculating overtime, shift payments, and ensuring that all outputs delivered to clients meet the stringent standards set out in the SLA (Service Level Agreement). The Payroll Administrator will also be responsible for preparing payment files, issuing P45s, RTIs, and year-end forms, and liaising with line managers for missing information as required.

Responsibilities:

  • Process weekly, fortnightly, 4-weekly, and monthly payrolls for clients based in the USS.
  • Accurately input timesheets submitted by employees/workers into the payroll application.
  • Calculate tax, national insurance deductions, and pension contributions.
  • Calculate and process statutory pay such as maternity pay, paternity pay, sick pay, and adoption pay.
  • Keep track of statutory pay details and update clients on a regular basis.
  • Calculate overtime, shift payments, and other payroll-related payments.
  • Ensure that all outputs delivered to clients meet the stringent standards set out in the SLA.
  • Prepare payment files for processing payroll payments.
  • Issue P45s, RTIs, and year-end forms as required.
  • Liaise with line managers for missing information and clarification on payroll-related matters.
  • Perform any other payroll duties as required by the company.

Skills:

  • Previous experience in processing payroll for clients in the USS.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and applications.
  • Knowledge of tax and national insurance regulations.
  • Familiarity with statutory pay calculations and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
  • Knowledge of payroll-related legislation and regulations.
  • Certification in payroll administration or related field is a plus.
